I haven't eaten tails but have slow roasted legs and made koftas from mince.I have found it very good eating.

:)Yeah. Sorry. No wallaby in the Tasman area as far as I know. This one was in it's normal home range of South Canterbury. 223rem was the cartridge of choice.

Yeah. There are quite a few cat traps around the area. Even up past lake head. They are required to be checked once triggered. Unfortunately, the majority of the triggers are from Weka and hedgehogs...

I have caught a couple over the years (on lures of course) and found the flesh to be quite rubbery but good flavor. Ideal for a curry.
