As above. There is a "knob" in the center of the valley just above Blue Duck. Good place to sit on dark and scan the terraces. Long shots from there but you can locate the animals for a stalk later.

I have the same unit but have only used it as a dedicated scope. Might have to try it out on my 223.

The article even says the land owner is "forced" to invite recreational hunters to his land, as if that is an absolute last resort. Shame it is viewed like that.

That's awesome. Such great country to hunt. I like the forend notch in the pack frame:) Did you use thermal at all for spotting. Would have been good conditions for it.
