So if you are not getting deformation to hard brass, you are not getting deformation to the action...whats the problem? Why the issue with quality brass not showing signs of pressure/deformation?

Have had my R8 Professional since before xmas. I have only one barrel at this point in 6.5x55 which I chopped to 18" and put an A-Tec Can on.... R8's are a couple of inches shorter than more...

Mags come up on trademe all the time... $120-150... preempt the loss, buy a couple of spares... Not a big deal.. Sako mags are the best fitting best loading out there I reckon... staggered easy...

This whole thing seems a bit chicken or egg to me... I think that applying an arbitary pressure across all actions/barrels/calibres as being a safe do not exceed could be sensible for the great...
