Have seen the results of hammering stags in spring- summer when there feeding on the grass on 2 private farms-blocks I have access to. Both owner- occupiers were moaning of a poor roar this year with...

Ive seen that comment elsewhere. Trouble is, you open any un-opened gate to the public and you get mainly young stags being shot which does nothing for population control and ruins the potential of...

Just returned home from an awesome trip to the lodge. Four days of mixed weather couldn't dampen the excitement after 12 months anticipation. Long story short, after waking I popped the rifle...

Thanks for the reply. Noted! Will take a molar next time. Have only read a few things on aging stag on the hoof, and am a little under educated when it comes to the fine art of aging stags using...

7mm or 30 cal with a reasonably heavy pill will be sweet out to 600-700 yards. Just cut my 300 wsm down to 18”, shooting 168 AMAX doing 2850 fps. That tops out at smack on 700 yards if you’re going...

Talley's all the way for a LW ring set. They're well made, easy to set up ( I don't even bother fuckin around lapping nowadays ) still reasonable priced & they work.

A 200y Zero (or an inch or 2 high at a hundy) is actually a perfect bush range Zero. Bang on at a hundred means you're shooting low at all bush ranges.

I don't think you miss higher end magnifications (12x and over) until you have got used to using them. It has been fairly recently (the last 6 or 7 years) that I have had scopes with more than 10x...
