I got some of these, unfortunately the ones I got were too small so I'm waiting on the return of a new pair but they get good reviews and they seem built real well for a light boot/shoe hybrid ...

I depends on how much you want to spend on shoes for your hobbit feet. Some of the newer running shoes with "zero drop" type soles are better designed for real feet. But no running shoe lasts long...
