    Yep, done the Wanganui a number of times in high flows, where whirlpools are formed at the foot of rapids on a bend. The centre of the whirlpool can be a meter lower than the surrounding water level....

    I disagree, what you’ve just described will only facilitate an echo chamber for the brotherhood of the ‘level headed’. Simply abiding by the no religion and no politics works just fine in my view.
