It's a shame that the Remington 700 isn't very good. They're quite a handsome rifle, good slim lines. Real pity that they're dreadful.

There is absolutely no reason for an AR to be stupidly heavy. The problem is that most manufacturers put a heavy profile barrel on them as a default. A light weight barrel makes them totally bareable...
