N560 might be a little fast burning for the 175 ELDX in the rem mag. I've used AR2213sc and 2217 with the 175 ELDX and got better results velocity wise with the 2217. Both gave good accuracy but...

I may have a BSA 270 barrel coming up for sale. Good nick. But I need to find a day to get to my gunsmith to sort out the new barrel. Give me a couple of weeks.

I dont think the red will score that high because the royals are short. In saying that the 'Windsor Throwback' makes it a very nice character head. He is in very good order for the time of year and...

Should not be an issue with feeding, you might have to open up the lips on the mag slightly for284 but not a show stopper. I’m not a gun smith but I’d be asking another Smith for a 2nd opinion. 284...

Had the same tough call to make! Ended up going 280ai and love it! 22” barrel pushing the 162amax at 2870fps with 1 hole groups. Could get more speed if needed as no sign of pressure but accuracy...

Do it all the time, flat sea takes us about 35 minutes. Rough sea up to an hour or more. We usually stop to fish on the way over though. I have crossed it in 4-5 metre confused seas in our 7.5...

Weather should be settled in Feb, you could talk to the ferry guys about following them over to Halfmoon bay, as long as you are well equiped & pick the weather it shouldn't be a problem.

strong wind in one direction is good , had some quite memorable bush stalks as the deer had zero clue I was only meters away , all the branch's swaying & leaves rustling cover my bush bashing nicely .
