    Ok report time 1/2 oz 4/0 hook with pumpkin jerk shad. Fished it 20 - 50 ft, cod were small in close, but hooked and had a John Dory at the boat... Don't drop the rod tip as the jig head rolls...

    Yeah large hooks, it's the handling I'm working on now, I know what you mean, gill / throat hooked is a death sentence ...what I am seeing is a 32 / 32.5 cm lip hooked handled released swims away....
