Jetski fishing is possible all around NZ. I have owned several jet skies. They are great fun but not a great fishing platform. Yes you can fish from them. IMHO unless you have a specific use case...

For live baiting I use a shimano bait runner egg beater and a shimano overhead lever drag, both prefect for staylining and live baiting. Brought these about 17 years ago, still going strong.
