    Nice finish. You could add some black pigment to the initial “gel coat” you put in mold. That way you wouldn’t need to paint it or if you did paint the scratches wouldn’t show up as much.

    I use to make the action inlet mold the same way, but after a few uses the silicon ripped apart. I then swapped to useing silicon sealant you get in the tubes. It is a bit of a bugger to work with...
