    The best skill to have is to be able to locate yourself on the map, without a compass. It is not often that you can actually see three points far enough away to be able to triangulate your position....

    Firearms safety course is still happening, it was the firearms people and the technical committee they let go. All the other instructors and courses are now gone. Head office felt they weren't...

    SD is standard deviation, a mathematical calculation of how far away from the mean the results are. (I think) 1 standard deviation is +/- 34.1% away from the mean. ie 66.2% of results are within +/-...

    ES is only really important if you are shooting long range. Most of the cheaper chronos aren't accurate enough to for you to be able to get reliable ES data, average speed yes, but ES no. One way...

    If only going to 400ish stick with the 270win. Heaps cheaper to buy factory ammo, less recoil etc.

    Your ES values will be good then. Sometimes a change of primer can help ES
