    Trigger time, not a lot. TOETS etc a bit more. Decision making training, a fair bit. You have to be 'certified' to deploy with a firearm, I think it's yearly.

    Sure they are carried in the cars, but they're no good to you when they're locked in the car and a person has suddenly pulled a gun/bat/knife etc. You'd have to get back to the car and into the lock...
