Chop your 270, whack a DPT on it and shoot cheap factory ammo. Much cheaper excercise

If they are anything like the 140s you will be very happy. @rambo6mmrem shoots the 123s and they are nasty on fallow

Mate used roberts 151s in subs from his 308. Inside 70m reckons they are great but still thinks for subs you need to go big Bertha cal. Does commercial pig/goat/deer work as well as rec hunting

Had a 284 tikka and done loads for a 708 tikka using 160+pills. 284 had a 19" bbl, 708 had an 18" but got 162eldms doing 2750~ with 54gr~ of 2209 in the 284 and 162 eldx doing 2680 with ALOT less...

Have a 165 (speer btsp)and 168 (eldm)load that both shoot well and near enough same speed. Poi has the 165s sitting an inch below the 168s but both pills are getting too hard to find or no longer...

Eldm or tmk not driven too fast pretty much covers your bases. 165gr speer btsp is another great option if your rifle likes it as has a great bc but a very usable bullet near and far.

Always read an been told 1000lbs in the yardstick. Highest I have ever read was 1200lbs but that was only ever once. Buuuut even if we use 1500lbs at 2700fps a 162eldm will deliver that out to 550yds...
