My experience with 2209, is that it is a bit slower, but super temp stable and always easy to find an accurate load for. RL16 would be worth a look as well meant to be more temp stable than 17. ...

52 gains 2209 with 160 tmks doing 2810fps out of a 22 inch barrel. Any more and accuracy drops off.

Like GWH - I solely use the Amax now, but I had a really great run using the 140gr BT. Never tried the 150gr version.

Seriously mate, you can't go wrong with the 150 SGK or 150 NBT. I've shot deer from 15 yards with both right out to 750 with the 150 nbt from a 22" 284. Either bullet will work mint. In my 17"...

I hunt over Harley with a Kimber 84 in 7-08. Barrel is 14" with a DPT suppressor. I shoot 150gn corelokts at 2250fps as a bush load and 162Amax @2285 for up to 500yds.
