    Try Hornady Frontier 55gr SP $139 for 150 rounds at Reloaders Been shooting heaps of it, decent accuracy of 1 to 1.5 inch groups out of my Marlin X7 223. Works well on goats.

    Thanks everyone for all your advice. Looks like having a commuter vehicle and a separate 4wd specifically for hunting is the way to go. Something with a 2L engine or smaller would be ideal.
