Hunt the warm gully heads where they merge into the tops. You will often see deer feeding up high in the broken tussock/leatherwood in these areas. Also glass the margin just under the leather wood....

Yeah, that's actually half of the deer having been split down the middle of the spine like we do with a sheep. So nothing is missing at all. I wonder if the client is carrying the other half. :)
