I have a mate who uses clear nail varnish over the base and primer if the primer pockets are a bit loose. Keeps things together.

I stop shooting hinds once they have dropped their fawns, and start again when the fawns are big enough to cope on their own. This not shooting pregnant hinds thing, well, for the rest of the year...
