The pic is mostly self explanatory. Rounds were shot over a Caldwell Chronograph ( sun screen type ) and velocities should not be taken as literal but comparing the figures is probably more useful....

ive found a significant difference with a 165 gr 30 cal from the 308 to a 300 short mag, that extra 400 fps is devastating.

In the past I used quite a lot of 52 grain bullets, nosler shots I think they were called. I was told they were developed for roo shooting in Australia.
