    You certainly have to hit them in the right place. Regardless of caliber. But you do get a margin of error with the heavier .223 bullets. Here's an example from a couple of days ago. Head shot...

    Leupold. Withers to brisket. Range was on mag ring. VX1. Maybe Vx2. Ryan is correct. Nothing is new but Im not sure why you would piss around like this with basic range finders being so cheap.

    Ive had it happen. The Element Helix actually has a warning note with the scope not to over torque the rings because of this.
