First 9mm I would say CZ 75. It'll shoot any 9mm ammo, they are not fussy and reliable as hell. And not too pricey with a few good second hand ones popping up quite regularly.

26 is rather long for a 223 tho.... Mine (my Sons) is 20-22 inch and I (but not with my Son behind it yet ) would happily shoot any game in nz to 300y. I'd chop it to 20"....if needed you can...

Great post Puffin. I used a 257AI for years as my only hunting rifle. Winchester +P was all I had and it ended up just like yours too. Pretty sure I still have the remaining brass after selling the...

Myself and a number of mates I shoot with use copper projectiles for this very reason. You do need to be aware of how they work to use them properly as they need to be driven at higher velocity and...

Yep. You eill be able to shoot off yr pack or bipod and yr normal hunting scope. Deer target will be scored only on vital area hits. Essentially a great day out for hunters to sort themselves out...

The Te Puke Hunters shoot is coming again in about a months time. In past years there have been good numbers of forum members come along, it would be good to try and have a "get together " again....

All good with my oxy-acetylene gas setup. I also have a metal working lathe for the crown and threads. It'll be fine (once I settle the legal aspect :) )

My pencil barrel in 7,62 x39 is exceptionally good, I tried a ruger ranch and was underwhelmed to say the least.
