I've read that website from top to bottom and can honestly say, I can't find a visitors fee. I think they didn't display it as it may deter people from the membership...

+1 Always wear something on your head in the bag too, stops the oils from your hair matting the down. Easier to wash a hat.

Ignore any lower limits etc. have a read of the EN ratings. A woman's rating is also for like a short 60kg which is quite different to 75 kg male. Personally i wouldn't look at 650 loft - 800...

Gibo is the deep and meaningful silent type. Ha ha ha ha. Welcome Jamie. I am surprised that no one has poked borax at your choice of calibre. I can't because I own one.

They are really catering for a different market than the 'sight in the hunting rifle in then go hunting type'. You can do that at the NZDA ranges really. In fact Taupo is great for that.

Bush hunting in a 60 odd litre pack is a pain in the arse, anything that will carry a load well will stick up above the shoulders and get caught up at the most annoying times. And anything of that...

I've got the 2p mountain star. Find it's a really good design. Sit up space, good angles for deflecting wind. Two doors so if you're spooning your hunting buddy they can get up and take a piss...

Lol Vaude is almost petrol station quality in Europe. I spent 3 weeks in Alaska in the arctic circle - we had Hilleberg, 3F and MSR tents and the 3F was the pick out the bunch. Hilleberg was wet...

Another reasonable option for a pack is the macpac Ascent. Has an extendible lid that can be removed and used as a day bag. Also has a small thin sleeping mat in it for padding that can be used to...

A decent red stag will easily yield 30 kg + of meat. If I'm on a day hunt a 35 litre pack is just enough. If multi day trips I would suggest you need at least 70 litres. You will need to fit a tent...
