Yeah done that stuffing up the range of deer a few times before rangefinders. Have taken guys out hunting and ask what range is that deer 350 meters? no it's only 200m 5" of drop not 28" . It's easy...

I've got two main camps that I leave two 50cal ammo tins so the rats don't get in, stashed in the bush with food, fuel, dog biscuits, dunny paper and spare AA battery's. Not heaps of gear but enough...

I had no issue when shooting beyond 200m with the 150sst it killed well, I mainly used the 130ttsx for point blank shooting then swap to the 150 sst for long range shots.

I dropped a few big reds with the Barnes 130ttsx over 50gr of 2208 ( max compressed load ) @ around 3000fps from memory in a 20" 308win. They did a better job at close range than the 150gr sst that...

Same I was reading the yanks don't think they what there cranked up to be and better off forking out for descent thermals. It's hard to sell a second hand lemon without giving it away.

Try before you buy. The fit, feel and trigger pull has a lot to do with how you shoot for best bullet placement and a caliber you can comfortably shoot without flinching as any cal will kill. Go...

It was a bolt action 223 rebarreled with a 12" Hardy ultra match 1:7 in a 300 blackout. I had it made for culling goats and pigs on my way to deer areas, and didn't want a rattle gun but would of...

What oneshot said, the more time in the hill watching them and their patterns of behaviour eg time of day moving from food to water to shelter bedding spots in the day, interacting with other animals.
