   They maybe no lighter in some cases. But they don't act like a small pencil barrel would either fussy with loads amd heat up amd wander. A smaller carbon wrapped barrel say around #2/3 contour...

   Fluting is a waste of time for noticable weight saving on a standard profile barrel imo. Carbon wrapping saves notable weight and has way better cooling and adds rigidity to a barrel. Much longer...

   Be interesting to know what the weight saving would be. Regardless, I dont think it's worth it. None of my blaser barrels are fluted and all are accurate :)
