You shouldn't get powder and gasses in your face if the bush isn't the right size unless its a suppressor that doesn't have an isolator tube, I haven't seen one of those in a very long time and I...

timattalon liked post by gundoc On thread : Dovetail barrel cut
The easy way to put dovetails in is with a hacksaw, a 3-suqare file with one surface ground dead, and a good flat file. Put two hacksaw slots to the correct depth spaced just inside the narrow part...

I use both, pick one and run with it. Can't go wrong with either.

I would say both are very good, I have Gunworks and have used DPT (and a variety of others). If you're in the Nth Island, DPT all the way and South go with Gunworks. The possible only real...

I've got both... Prefer the balance of the skinny Spartan on longer barrel as it's slightly further back so balance is better.length over all, weight n noise are so similar to make no real difference....

Mate I think most people call 270's gay as a joke and not being serious, the 270 is as good as any other calibre.

I think you'll have trouble with an objective test because of lack of data. E.g. does anyone ever put up photos of deer they missed or had to track and finish? Not impugning the skill or honesty of...

timattalon liked post by Micky Duck On thread : First Rifle Choice for the Novice Hunter. Some more Notes From an Old Fudd
Ain't it a funny thing, the humble 177 slug gun/air rifle doesn't even get a mention anymore? Yet it teaches how to aim,how to hold, muscle memory and with a small amount of thinking can be used SAFELY...

Just recently bought a 22" .308 with the suppressor it has sygnificantly less recoil than the 18" one it's replaced and is hardly anymore than my 20" 22-250. The .308 is still one of the cheapest to...

A new hunter will read this thread and pick a suppressed Tikka T3 in 308 He will then live a happy and fulfilled life, the end.
