   OK. I've had a look. Internally it has 2 chambers. A washer in the middle with a removable alloy inner tube either end. No springs.No markings at all.

    Made 11 cases now 269930 Sealed the labels with 3 coats of Resolene and oiled the leather exterior and straps 269931 269932
