Can't help you with that side of the waipunga, however the other side is tight, thick nasty ass bush with lots of hook grass... Only attraction to that side would be that it borders farm land imo....

If you prefer a gun which is easy to shoot (low recoil) then honestly 6.5mm is the way to go, .260, 6.5cm, 6.5x55 etc. Energy retention, windrift, drop, penitration etc etc it just has so much going...
