Try a Tikka T1X in .22 rimfire and put the 40g CCI sub projectile in the spot behind its head (where the spine meets the skull) way less meat damage than that big boomer your using :) 273696

The 70 grn Nosler Accubond zips through without too much fuss or mess. Exit the rounder left hole. Killed the deer quickly. Obviously not as frangible as the 80 ELDX. 250 yards. 273654

Took the kids for an afternoon walk today. 17km round trip, 2 hinds and 1 young stag spotted. Mr Stag got a 73gr Eldm at 330m. Instant lights out. Haven't been out for just over a year. My longest...

Managed a few days in the Huxley end of March. Have been meaning to get in there for a look for a while. Saw a few deer and chamois. Nothing big enough to chase after but a great spot for a look....

Well I would think there'd be too much commotion, what with all that frolicking in the water, slapping on sun tan lotion and hordes of screaming brats.....

Yeah he was still in surprisingly good condition, considering definitely in full rut mode. Would've been a Cracker in a couple years but got to let the young fella cut his teeth.
