Trout liked post by Mathias On thread : Spotted a good stag - will he still be there next week?
If there are plenty of hinds in residence then he'll probably hang around. If not he'll be very transient, moving around a large area. This is normal for stags to cover wide areas in search of...

My take is they hold in a particular area during the roar if there are hinds but wander a bit if they have to go looking. They do seem to stick to a general huntable area though. Soon (or about now)...

We're heading back in anyway, was just hoping for some reassurance we wouldn't be wasting our time. Based on the recent weather etc, I would say he would remain relatively undisturbed. Fingers crossed

Just like me. Up hill shots over the bonnet (although out the ute window saves getting out) so it's a down hill drag to the road. Wouldn't dream of shooting one on the bottom side of the track.

Bipod and rear bag will see you right. The 5 guys that have replied so far have a combined age of 485. Just look at the bipod on a pillow, I mean make up ya mind :P
