About uk_exile
Biography:
I'm not british. Its a username only! I'm a kiwi, born here, lived here 29yrs then due to work moved to UK late 1990s. Returned to NZ 2003. It was while working in UK that I chose my online username for all online stuff and have kept it ever since. It's not because of any connections or loyalty to UK. Have only been back once to UK since 2003 as part of an european holiday. Can't say I hated UK but certainly disliked the lack of freedom & was just there for work. It simply wasn't me or my happy place.
Location:
Havelock/Linkwater or Ashburton Lakes

We had this build, took a couple of year & went in the water about 2007. We've done about 30,000 miles, done a few laps of the closer South Pacific Islands. Still love it, and wouldn't change much if...

Some people might think I'm a cunt but that's how I got my gps. I am the kind of guy that does hand stuff in or try and find the owner. On this particular occasion we went into a hut, on arriving...

Thought I’d update you all with a happy ending to this. I got a call from BeaconsNZ on Friday to say another hunter had found it the day before! Turns out the belt loop was broken, so I hadn’t...

The worst bit is that they don't even kill to eat. They torture things for sport. Nasty feckn things. (And cat owners "aw my little moggy bought me a present of this mangled corpse" ... sheesh) ...

That pic of the slalom course is a cracker. Although I always found glass water a little 'skatey' when trying to drop line lengths. And it tends to 'burn' your feet a bit when footing. Better if...

This is a true story about forgetfulness, which may sound like BS but it's true to the word, still find it strange to this day. We were hunting in the Waipakihi in the late 90's or early 2000's and...
