About uk_exile
Biography:
I'm not british. Its a username only! I'm a kiwi, born here, lived here 29yrs then due to work moved to UK late 1990s. Returned to NZ 2003. It was while working in UK that I chose my online username for all online stuff and have kept it ever since. It's not because of any connections or loyalty to UK. Have only been back once to UK since 2003 as part of an european holiday. Can't say I hated UK but certainly disliked the lack of freedom & was just there for work. It simply wasn't me or my happy place.
Location:
Havelock/Linkwater or Ashburton Lakes

Mmmm, Korma... Might be a budget Chinese cooker, but it appears equally as functional as the Jetboil version I have experience of. Can't see any reason to hate on it to be fair. Didn't need it,...

One reason to go for the telescopic over folding style is if you ever use them as shooting sticks. The telescopic ones give you a much greater range of functional length - when shooting across the...

I've had a few cheap sets - the twist adjustment has crapped out on more than one. Whatever you get, make sure it has the lever-type adjustment.

I was running a touch late to work the other day and the young fulla asked if he could come. Why not, something different for an 8 year old and it was not going to be super strenuous. Sometimes in...

My AliExpress pot stand arrived today, It fits really well and actually locks onto the CampMaster burner quite well. When folded up it fits snuggly inside the matching pot. It was $17.59 inc post &...

I have the jetboil trivet modified to use on the campmaster. I used a chainsaw file to cut notches for the igniter and bent out the tabs so it sat better.250178 250179

I just bought my 2nd SNDWAY 1500, due drowning the last one ( they are only IP54 rated, so definitely did not like being dropped in the creek). Other than that, great unit for the money.
