About uk_exile
Biography:
I'm not british. Its a username only! I'm a kiwi, born here, lived here 29yrs then due to work moved to UK late 1990s. Returned to NZ 2003. It was while working in UK that I chose my online username for all online stuff and have kept it ever since. It's not because of any connections or loyalty to UK. Have never need back to UK since 2003 and hope I never need to except maybe as part of an european holiday sometime in future. Can't say I hated it but certainly disliked the lack of freedom & was just there for work.

Probably 30%-40% of my sitting shots are off my trekking poles. I just loop the leash over the opposite pole and vice versa. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51820184912_0045189b41_c.jpg

Great area, I hunted there (two trips I think) in 1980/81 and my mate shot a nice stag (which were bloody hard to get in those years) and I got my first Chamois. Well done.

Great trip and good to score your first deer which is usually the hardest to get. Nice looking area to hunt.

Great write up! It was an awesome adventure and getting there and back again was an achievement in itself for me. I won't forget that last steep section of the walk/climb back to the hut for a while!

Great report. I always say your first deer is the hardest you’ll shoot and it just gets easier from there as you learn about animal behaviour and shooting. Good luck for the next one!
