    Yeah, it does get warm, but can still pour the water into a freeze-dri wearing a glove. If making a cup of tea, the time the tea bag has soaked, it's cool enough to hold.

    Yes, hence the wind shield. But, if the unltimate in lightweight and cheap, they are great. Again, I did end up with a jetboil though for a more reliable solution. Meths is good for day(half day)...

    Dont under estimate how wet and cold it can be. There aren't actually that many huts off the main tramping tracks, so a good tent is a must.

    This would be true if shooting in a vacuum. But the effect of air pressure and humility slows the projectile down.
