I would look at the 6.5x55 as well in your situation. The subtle differences between 7mm08 and 308 mean that recoil will be close enough to the same on both. The 6.5 doesn't give much away on...

Nope not free go. Need to get in touch with DoC they give the landowner a time to get them removed. Quite a process to go through. The animals still belong to the farmer.
