If you hang meat in the muslin cloth as Tahr has pictured it stretches out the fabric and you most definitely can and will get flyblown meat. If the meat is hung then the cloth hung around it so...

Would be around 40-45min at 20knts Id say....its 15NM from French Pass. Fuel in the bay I think was $2.20? for 91 over New Years.
