Thats what puts me off buying a second hand Diesel, once bitten twice shy. With the good ol kiwi tradition of roaduser tax fraud I think I would trust a jap import odo more than a NZ new one.

I'd say most of your problems are from the new brass. Copper on brass doesn't slide well and likely has galled the projectile. Lube your necks and projectile base and see if that helps. Once fired...
