True. People don't talk about the bad shots they make but at the end of the day, a deer shot in the jaw is a deer shot in the jaw no matter what cartridge you are using. There are probably more deer...

Ok then. I’ve screwed it up a few times. 1. Lost a fallow trophy of a lifetime with a .270, never recovered the animal after days of searching with assistance of a dog. My logic is that on the...

A young red I shot this afternoon. Hit high in the shoulder with a 73gn ELD-M at about 50m. It went through the shoulder blade and through a rib on the way out. Left a nice neat 15mm exit hole as it...

I got given a charcoal weber too, sat under a tree for three years until i went to mrs google, bought some heat beads and charcoal and been using it most of the time. Realised that was getting quite...

To me, shortening a rifle to suppress it is not just about it's length and "handiness" but just as much about it's balance. A 22" barrel with a suppressor on it handles a lot differently to a 16"...

Having owned the gauntlet of bush rifles, from single shots to ars to bolt guns I've settled on my idea bush rifle. I prefer a repeater over a single shot, occasionally a followup shot is reality....

Keep it simple. A T3, Rem 700 or similar in .308, .7mm08 cut to 16-18 inches with a DPT mod and a 1-6 or 3-9 scope. Keep your .270 for tops work and you have all angles covered.

If you want to catch one on a hook for the challenge go for it. If you actually want to catch some use a net. These were caught yesterday. 222236
