I go out a bit but don't shoot many deer as I have passed up so many shots that were what appeared to be a deer and probably were but for me probably and appeared aren't 100% identifying the target...

have been known to have shin pads inside gaiters before....sure helps when scrambling through crown fern and hit hidden branches at shin height. keeps gaiters up too.

I have some sitka pants that have pockets in the knees and come with pads but I took them out unless youre actually crawling somewhere they feel silly to walk with
