you could do a lot worse than leave it as a 7mm08 damn good caliber if it still shoots well more pennys for a top class scope

woods223 liked post by Makros On thread : Testing a conventional approach to load development
Would appear to me that many prefer to halve group sizes by stopping shooting halfway towards a larger group.

woods223 liked post by stug On thread : Testing a conventional approach to load development
Makes me feel good about my load development technique. Fire 1 shot at each charge weight to get velocity idea. Usually pick the highest, safe, velocity. Load 3 and shoot. If under an inch call it...

woods223 liked post by Tentman On thread : Testing a conventional approach to load development
Nailed it! As for shooter fatigue, spare me. If a guy can stagger to the range I don't think their "performance" is going to decline much shooting 30, 50 or even 100 rounds from any of the common...

I think you might be missing a point… gimp is indicating that the old school method that you describe above is a waste of ammo and time. By your logic why not just take your own advice and pick a...

By the number of deer in the freezer with the least amount of bullets used.Thats all that matters to a hunter, not a compitition shooter.

woods223 liked post by Marty Henry On thread : Advice Needed: Choosing Caliber for Open Tops Hunting
Nowadays we are spoilt for choice wrt calibre every one is better at whatever you want to achieve than all the rest which naturally leads to confusion. 308 will do it all that makes it simple.

woods223 liked post by Grey Kiwi On thread : Dry firing a 22lr
Yep, it's easy and it's all in the training (thanks NZ Army)...we were taught to count our rounds as we fired. When you get to 19 (we had a 20 round SLR mag) you stop shooting and whip in a new full...

woods223 liked post by Tentman On thread : 4wd vs ATV vs SXS
The Mazda Bounty and Ford Courier of post 2000 are very hard to beat for the ratio of reliability and capability versus cost. Far from a first choice in terms of "cool" but I've seen them driven...

I think the bigger question is - to what degree does it actually exist? Or is it attributing natural variation between groups to an effect that isn't significant

How could anyone not like crayfish? That is like saying you don’t like breathing. Steam until they turn orange. Job done. I question the need to freeze as I have an unlimited ability to consume.
