Do you not count your rounds as you fire? That should be second nature with any firearm, especially semi-auto’s. And no, dry firing .22’s is generally not good for firing pin or breech face.

First rule of auto electrics is only test with a known fully charged battery. As already stated 11.8 volts is a flat battery for a start, May light up bulbs but won’t carry a load.
