I like that, maybe a Ruger No 1 with full length Bavarian/Mannlicher stock, in 7mmSTW. All the weight would make it shoot like a 7mm-08. It’d probably carry like a Bren gun though...

The original goretex tahr is a non brushed finish and quite a bit lighter than the aegis ones but still tough, I would say this will be light weight aegis only similar to the likes of the Kuiu rain...

Single shot falling block farquhison or ruger no 1 action, a long 26-28 inch barrel to get the most out of the cartridge, something in 7mm would be my thought.

I think we are spoiled for choice re gun smiths and component manufactures. I have dealt with Barnard, True-flite, Nathan Foster. You may need to nail down your requirements, weight, range,...

No need to, you'll just get better coverage for selling in the buy sell section. Also there was two range finders sold today, but brads isn't the best to go by for pricing as he sells things real...

I have always taken the view that range finder technology is changing faster than bino technology. Its a lot cheaper to upgrade a seperate range finder than to have to replace combo binos.
