It makes me very nervous to be out hunting, and seeing someone looking at me through their scope rather than binoculars. It has happened a couple of times now, the last time it took alot of self...

... and I'm going again tomorrow! Me and the missus have been hunting for mushrooms in a local wooded area. I'm guessing even thats frowned upon now, in case maybe a f**king tree falls on us. I look...

Ummmmmmm No. I have considered that in the past but being "your average lazy bugger" have not rattled my dags sufficiently to do so. (if they would accept me) As the interest is strong, to...

I should have mentioned too, before my mates 20” rem mag he had an 18” 7mmsaum. That ran the 168VLD at 2850fps. I’ve always though a 7mm WSM would be cool too, it just seems to be very uncommon...

Agreed - the wallabies around rotorua are Dama species - little fellows - some not much bigger than a large hare. In Waimate area the Bennett wallabies are alot bigger at up to 800mm tall and...

viper in a word, no. Sure you'll kill some, but you'll wish u had more range. If u can use centrefire you'll have more fun. A 223 is ideal and cheap as to run on budget ammo.

nearly brought an all in one type unit but only 5 year warenty on the electronics part put me off, along with the fact that techology changes so fast better to have good binos and update RF as...

Your .243 would be ideal Phil_H not only for the 300m+ shooting needed for roos but also for the bigger beasts you are likely to run into as well. Plenty of pigs and fallow about in SI roo country...

I wouldn't ever consider shooting at a deer sized animal with one. I know people have taken deer with a .22 but realistically that's not on. Goats too push the envelope past 75 80 metres, bodies too...

Here is my 2 cents on this topic. Firstly, lets clear up an important point: every one who is asking this question already has a centrefire rifle. If you do not have a centrefire rifle, then buy...
