When I used to use Sweets 7.62 Copper solvent (which I avoid like the plague now, Boretech or KG is the go) I used to flush out using meths of Brakleen. Followed by a decent gun oil.

Yep the tricounis were the bis. Virtually wore out one set in one weeks trip up the Godley. Probably most wear due to running down shingle slides. They bloody hurt when you raked your leg with them....
