Yip. Use 2209 in my 20 inch saum. 162 eld m at 2800.
Agree with animal age and condition. You can’t make strawberry ice cream out of pig sh*t so no point trying to eat rubbish meat. When I was younger I’d take it all. Now I figure I only have so many...
Put in fridge for a few days with glad wrap over it so it doesn’t dry out too much. Then clean it up a bit. Ie take silver skin off. Vpvacuum pack then back in fridge for 3-4 weeks then eat. Roaring...
Nice shot. The vapour coming off that bullet was amazing.
The problem here is the 6mm creedmoor. If it was a good old 243 would never have happened……
I have used 120 bt, 120 Sierra pro hunter, 120 Barnes ttsx and 110 Barnes ttsx. All did the biz.
Had a crack with 3 x 73 eldm’s and 3 x sierra 55 gkhp. 16.5 inch barrel.
Remington brass
Federal primer
25 grains 2208 used with hornady 73 eldm - av speed 2777 fps
27 grains with 55 sierra...
Harden up flip flop.
Very cool.
22, 260, 7 saum
Well fu$k me that’s a nice stock! How long to make it?😂
I’ve got McMillan edge stock on my 75. It’s a copy of the original sako stock and has never let me down.
I don’t get too dog knotted on it. My stainless barrels I clean properly maybe a couple of times a year using carbon and copper remover and bronze brushes. My summer hunting rifle (deer) might get...
I have shot a few deer with a 243. Factory loads I liked federal 100 power shock or Norma 100 grain soft point. When I got into reloading I used Sierra 85 hpbt a lot and also 100 Sierra pro hunter....

What you want?
Yip I think I have. Will have a look tomorrow for you
Classic! And exactly right.
Yip all makes sense.
I’d go 243.
I’ve never really understood the subsonic centrefire idea on big game. Subsonic works on rabbits with a 22 but a deer is a big animal and a supersonic 308 hunting bullet will kill it pretty much...
Looks like a nice rifle. Gunsmith with borescope is the answer. Pretty hard to tell with the naked eye.
Agreed
Mate uses sako 165 grainer in his 308. 20 inch barrel 2555 fps. Very very accurate.
