The AB computer programming is $200 the app should be $40. Hornady 4dof is free.

    Your best bet is:
    1. Confirm zero and muzzle velocity
    2. Tall target test
    3. Shoot as far as you can ~368m.

Considering you want to shoot animals out to 800, and there's approximately a 70% corilation between precision and the muzzle energy/rifle weight ratio. It might be counter productive.

The rifle is a Sako 75, IV action.
It doesn't missfire, and the impression on the primer looks normal. Although this is on fire formed cases (bumped ~0.002"), I haven't tried it on new cases.

    Cracked Firing Pin Holder

While cleaning my bolt, I noticed the firing pin holder is cracked.

3 shots to foul. Then round robin for the ladder, no cleaning. When looking at velocity it will take 100-200 shots to stabilise (according to Applied Ballistics), so you may want to err on the side...

    22LR Technique or Rifle Issue?

This one was shot squeezing the rear bag. The recoil lifted the reticle...

A 308 is around 165dB at the muzzle, good ear pro will reduce it about 25dB (look at the SLC80 rating). That's still ~140dB, and a suppressor is significantly cheaper than hearing aids.

    I ignored 2225 because it's a compressed load. And went with 200gr for the 308 because it's a scaled up 270 145gr:
    145x(308/277)^3 = 199gr

2225 in a long throated 270 would be a hoot though.
