Over 3000fps Impact speed be wise I would expect more violent expansion/frangibility but haven't shot enough animals at this speed to say for certain, definitely under this speed im yet to have...

Actually cost wise the amax would be a good choice and performance still be good

For the intended purpose I would probably stick with the 140gr bt, can use a nice fast powder to offset sorter barrel effect a bit.

Best to talk velocities that bullets are frangible at rather than ranges to keep things clear. The velocities you would expect from a 708 would have the amax at very good performance velocities...
