Not sure on case life, but brass factory made by Hornady. Some on trade me a few weeks back for $55/50. Zmax 500 packs are $130, so if you get 5 firings per case then you are looking at about 62...

Bout 8-10gr powder, so a pound goes a long way... 20gr zmax projectiles purchased in 500 packs are pretty cheap.
