My thoughts too. I'd imagine going the way of the Europeans where the breed clubs hold their own trials might be an option

I may be wrong, but I think wirehunt and I are saying the same thing. Pedigree dog world is top heavy with paper pushers, hoop jumpers and ribbon collectors. Maybe time for a revamp of the registry...
My thoughts too EBs. Dogsvic etc . Also following thier rules regarding docking and breeding
I'm all for a version of the US FDSB, except it can be like our sheep dog trials stud book, it has to place to be eligible for registry
I have! I got furtive phone calls in the night from Liesel to do so :)
So the Teresa Tax is official? Should send her the bill. Thanks for stuffing it for everyone.
I don't think the NZGTA will go under, I expect we will all get lumped with a 'Teresa tax' (you heard that here first folks, (c) pointer 2016 haha)
And let's face it if it does go under, something...
Sadly yes. Their main income is from dog showing, so they are essentially funded by the very people ruining dog breeds. It's a shame they could not simply just be a user funded registry, nothing more
A conviction? really?
I don't care about the science, I'm saying you can continue docking and not tell anyone :)
Yep after reading that knobs submission I can't help but feel does every gundog owner feel shat on right now? Because they should. Shat on by the very registry organisation that is supposed to behave...
You have an alibi. The bobtail gene :)
That poofter that heads the NZKC has made some pretty rash statements, and is known for knee-jerk reactionary policy changes but this takes the cake. None...
I read that too in the NZKC mag too EBs.
Looks like you can kiss docking goodbye

Due by tomorrow folks. Get them in now
The farm lobby is also the reason the electric collar isn't included on the schedule but the prong collar is.
Docking doesn't affect me or my dogs at all but I stand by others decision to do so if they choose to. There is nothing inhumane about it. I have had an undocked vizsla and her tail would open up...
Try banning the docking of lambs. See how well that would go down
