I agree ruff, the only advantage in my eyes is to identify a stolen dog. Once you've had a dog stolen off you, the price of a chip is nothing.

Not all councils have a reader, certainly not all vets have one. basically all you are doing is assigning a barcode to your dog. Who can read it is another matter. I only really see it's benefit in...
