With hindsight....it might have been better to return it to ur supplier, pulled the warranty and or fit for purpose clause. Unless u bought it second hand, then its caveat emptor. A friendly engineer...

Failing all else, an engineer can drill out for you. All is not lost!
They've probably put 'loctite' on it. Used locking vice grips, even some leather to minimize damage, and it might pay to reloctite it urself once sorted.
